NimbusCloud started as an internal tool at a much bigger company that got tired of reconfiguring bucket policies every quarter.
NimbusCloud is a fictional company invented for a security training course. Its "founding story" below is flavor text, not a real company history — but we wrote it the way a real SaaS About page would read, because that realism is the point of the lesson.
Founded in 2021 by a small team of infrastructure engineers, NimbusCloud set out to make object storage feel less like AWS console spelunking and more like Dropbox. Today the (fictional) team serves the (fictional) needs of teams at Acme Corp, Globex Industries, and Initech.
